Who We Are
LABP advises owners of privately held lower-middle-market businesses as they prepare for and navigate the sale of their companies. Since 2006, we have guided business owners through valuation, transaction preparation, positioning, buyer engagement, negotiations, due diligence, and closing.
Led by Tawnya Gilreath, an experienced M&A Advisor, Certified Exit Planner (CExP), and attorney, LABP combines senior-level advisory leadership with transaction collaboration and administrative support. Our objective is to help owners make informed decisions, protect confidentiality, preserve value, and navigate one of the most consequential transactions of their lives.
Why Business Owners Choose LABP
Selling a privately held company is rarely a simple transaction. It requires careful preparation, credible financial presentation, thoughtful positioning, disciplined buyer engagement, and experienced negotiation. LABP brings those disciplines together in a structured advisory process designed around the owner’s objectives and the realities of the transaction.
Confidentiality is fundamental to our work. We use progressive disclosure, controlled access to sensitive information, and structured buyer processes designed to protect the business, its employees, customers, and ownership throughout the sale process.
Every transaction is different. We work closely with each owner to understand the business, the reasons for the transition, the desired outcome, and the risks that need to be managed. Tawnya remains actively involved in engagement strategy and execution while drawing on transaction and administrative support as appropriate.

LABP combines senior-level advisory leadership with transaction collaboration, administrative support, technology, and structured processes designed to help owners navigate each stage of the sale. Tawnya remains actively involved in the strategy and execution of engagements while drawing on the team’s capabilities and additional professional resources when a transaction requires them.
